Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
Ephesians 1:3
“Oh, that you would bless me indeed!” Jabez wasn’t shy about asking God for blessings. Some think it’s selfish to pray for yourself, but God delights in blessing His children. His blessings are His favor, grace, empowerment, peace, and joy—gifts only He can give.
The key is meeting the conditions of blessing: obedience and trust. God longs to pour out good things on those who ask, but we cannot expect blessings on our own terms. Like an earthly father who gives good gifts, how much more does your Heavenly Father desire to bless you?
Don’t settle for less than all God has for you. Pray passionately, expectantly, persistently. Ask for a double portion. Don’t let go until He blesses you. What specific blessing do you need from God today? Ask boldly, believing He hears and desires to answer.
