Ephesians 5:8-10
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
Ephesians 5:8-10
Man sees according to the outward, but God sees your heart. These verses today call us to walk in the light of God’s truth and holiness. This involves both honest self-examination and a willingness to be exposed by God’s light. Are there areas of your life you’re keeping hidden from God or others? Confess these to the Lord, knowing He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you.
Consider sharing your struggles with a trusted Christian friend or mentor – there is freedom and healing in bringing things into the light. Pray for courage to live transparently before God and others, and for discernment to recognize and resist the works of darkness. The future is brighter when God presence is lighter.
