Matthew 9:35-36

Matthew 9:35-36

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

Matthew 9:35-36

Today’s reading showcases Jesus’ compassion for those in society who are often overlooked or rejected. He meets people in their desperation and need, bringing healing and hope. He didn’t judge by outward appearances but looked at the genuine need.

Let’s not forget those times when we’ve experienced Christ’s compassion in our own life. How has this changed you? Ask God to give you His heart of compassion for others, especially those who are different from you or easy to ignore. Look for practical ways to show Christ’s love to someone in need today. Remember, as you extend compassion to others, you’re reflecting the very heart of God.
