Hosea 6:1

Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.

Hosea 6:1

These are Hosea’s encouraging words to the nation of Israel in their rebellion. He calls on them to return to the Lord, turn from their sin they were being judged for, and trust in the Lord to restore them. 

And there is a valuable lesson here about the life that comes from repentance. When we turn from our sin and turn towards God, we experience His healing. God loves us even in our rebellion. But His ultimate desire is to restore us. 

Today, let us confess our sin to the Lord. Let us fall before Him in repentance. And let us trust in His healing.
