Isaiah 29:15-16
Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the LORD, And their works are in the dark; They say, “Who sees us?” and, “Who knows us?” Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall the thing made say of him who made it, “He did not make me”? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
Isaiah 29:15-16
There is a temptation that runs common to man, that the Lord speaks to us through His prophet Isaiah. It is our tendency to determine who knows what is best for us and seek to omit God or His word from our minds, decisions, and determinations. As the Lord puts it here: should the clay really be esteemed as the potter who has formed it? We have things turned around!
We should arise every morning asking God to teach us His will and show us His way. In so doing, we will confront and overcome the tendency to lean to our own understanding and instead lean on Him!
I know I need Him!
