John 9:1-2

John 9:1-2

Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.  And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

John 9:1-2

In today’s verse, we are told that “as Jesus passed by,” He came upon a man who had been blind from birth. This man, we are told, had been born blind and had never seen the light of day. Jesus saw him as He passed by and He took notice of this man.

Earlier in the previous chapter, Jesus faced an angry crowd ready to stone him and, as He leaves the temple going through the midst of many people, He sees and takes notice of this one blind man. This scene reminded me of how glad I am that Jesus took notice of me. Among all the people and among all the things going on, He saw me. If you ever think that the Lord is not taking notice of you and what you are going through, remember these verses.

Even among all the crowds of people that day, Jesus took notice of that blind man.  And even among all the crowds and events and circumstances going on in our world today,

Jesus takes notice of you.

Praising the Lord for taking notice of me!
