Mark 5:27-29

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

This poor, desperate woman here in Mark 5 has tried everything. For 12 years, she went to different doctors and only grew worse. She looked for relief in all the wrong places until she came to Jesus. She is like so many people who look for relief and salvation in all the wrong places. 

They look for the cure for the symptoms of sin in entertainment, career success, relationships, etc. But only Jesus has the cure for the sin that plagues us. Only coming to Him in faith will make us well. Only His touch on our lives will save us.
