Matthew 12:13

Matthew 12:13

Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.

Matthew 12:13

It was on the Sabbath when Jesus met this man with a withered hand and the Pharisees asked Jesus, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” They didn’t ask because of their concern for this man, but instead that they might have something to accuse Jesus of concerning the law. After proclaiming this man’s value to the Lord, Jesus speaks to the man saying, “Stretch out your hand.”

This was the moment of decision for this man in such great need, whether to doubt the power of the Lord to heal and restore him, or step out in faith believing that Jesus’ words were true and worth obeying.

It’s the same for us today, we must decide if we believe our faith must be “stretched out,” going beyond human reasoning or logic? If you have the faith to act upon His word, Jesus will show that He has the power to perform it.
