“And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.“

The storms of life are going to try to blow us down. They are going to throw everything at us in an attempt to shake us. Just like a house that needs a strong foundation, we need what we build our life on to stay the same and never move. 

The so-called wisdom of the world changes daily, right and wrong is flipped on its head, and good is mistaken for evil and evil mistaken for good. If our foundation is in these things, our house will never have integrity and it will wash away in the storms. 

But if we build our lives on the Rock, the Word of God, then our foundation will never move, it will stay the same through the ages. And our house will be able to weather any storm that life throws at it.
