Morningstar Christian Chapel
Inductive Bible Studies
are designed to help believers go through the Bible and discover the rich Truths of God’s Word for themselves. Paul told Timothy to be a student of the Word (2 Timothy 2:15) and Peter encouraged us to have an answer for every man who asks for the hope that lies within us
(1 Peter 3:15).
By breaking up each study into 6 days of work and learning, with challenging questions and applications, the Inductive Study method will have you gleaning much from the awesome Word of God which never goes out void (Isaiah 55:11).
These studies are not designed to replace your weekly involvement in your local church fellowship for Bible study but are rather to supplement your daily devotions and reading times before the Lord. God promises to teach us much if we desire to know Him (Jeremiah 33:3).
So may the Lord fill you with the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:17) (2 Peter 1:3) as you seek His face diligently and may His word fill your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.
Sunday September 11th at 6PM
We will be going through the Gospel of John. We use the Morningstar study guide for these small group studies.
Copies of the Morningstar study guide are available in the Chapel Store for purchase.
What We Believe…
Morningstar Christian Chapel is an outreach fellowship of Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, CA. As such, we believe in the Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God by which all things are given to us pertaining to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). We, therefore, place a great priority on knowing God through the study of His Word.
We believe that we have been created for God’s pleasure (Revelation 4:11) and as His Church are to worship Him as an expression of our love (Psalm 95:6). Our worship must be spiritual (John 4:24) and expressed through our singing, praying, giving, and obedience to His Lordship in our lives. We look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we are truly worshiping Him.
We believe in the fellowship (koinonia) of all true believers in Christ (1 John 1:3; 1 Corinthians 1:9). We place a high priority on the gathering of the Body of Christ together to provoke one another to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). We understand the importance of body ministry, each individual doing their part for the whole body, and thus every need being met.
We believe in the need for the discipleship and training for the perfecting of the saints and for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12). The church has been called to go out and make disciples. Following Jesus and serving Him requires both sacrifice and commitment (Luke 9:59-62). Training is being equiped and not just educated or informed.
