The books of 1 & 2 Chronicles depict God’s view of Israel whereas 1 & 2 Kings are from man’s perspective. As such, we get God’s account of the historic record of the events that took place after Solomon, which was the breakdown of the unified Kingdom leaving a permanent split between Judah and the rest of the tribes of Israel.
