CloseThe Lord gave Ezekiel an allegorical story about two sisters who had one mother. This story was to represent the fact that Israel after the death of Solomon, divided into two kingdoms, Israel and Judah. He went on to say that these two sisters were harlots whose unfaithful ways stemmed from ancient times. This story depicted the nation of Israel, who even during it’s sojourn in Eqypt was unfaithful and that unfaithfulness carried all the way into Ezekiel’s day in spite of the fact that God had given this nation great blessings and love and certainly every reason for her to be faithful to Him. As a result, God had no choice but to bring judgment and chastisement upon His beloved people.
