Proverbs 16:17

The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul.

Proverbs 16:17

As God’s kids, we have been saved by grace. He loves us and always will love us, but we have a responsibility to depart from evil. Here we are instructed to live our lives on the highway of the upright!  Departing from evil. 

So picture yourself driving on this highway of life. Are you constantly driving away from evil?  Or driving by evil, slowing down and checking it out? Let’s make good choices on this highway of life, not stopping at places we shouldn’t. It is easy to coast and go with the flow of traffic, but the highway of the upright is to depart from evil. And when we do that, it is good for our soul!
