A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

Proverbs 16:9

I am so grateful for the Lord’s direction in my life! There have been many times I have made plans for my life and the Lord has told me “no.” I get excited about my plans and I begin to visualize how happy I will be when my dreams become my reality and then the Lord answers “no” and moves me in another direction. In the moment, those nos can be devastating. However upsetting it may be in the moment, I have never experienced a time where my plans were better than the Lord’s. In fact, every time I look back, I see that I dodged a bullet.

I have learned to praise the Lord for those nos! Whatever the Lord is saying “no” to in your life, He is saying “yes” to something better. You may not see it yet, but in time you will see He was right all along. Rather than waiting, learn to rejoice in the nos today. The Lord’s nos are the best nos!
