Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

The truth of these words is found in many places in the scriptures and we would be wise to take note of them. The fear of man is a trap set by the enemy while faith and trust in the Lord provides safety to the obedient heart. Fear of man is at the root of peer pressure, leading to compromise and a ruining of our witness. It might even keep you from the salvation the Lord offers to all who turn to Him.

What moves you most: what people think or what God says? The answer is both revealing and instructive. Never let a man determine your way, instead trust the Lord and follow Him. Check yourself out today by keeping this verse in mind….who most moves you?
