Psalm 103:10-12

Psalm 103:10-12

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Psalm 103:10-12

When you first encountered Christ, everything changed. Your sins were forgiven, cast as far as the east is from the west. That initial joy, that overwhelming gratitude for salvation—do you still feel it? The Ephesian church (in Revelation 2:1-7) had sound doctrine but had abandoned their first love. God desires that we never outgrow our amazement at the cross. It’s always good to revisit the moment of your salvation. What characterized your relationship with God when you first believed? What needs to be restored?

Go back to where Jesus found you and what He rescued you from. Let gratitude flood your heart afresh. Your Christian maturity should deepen, not diminish, your passion for Him. Return to that place of simple devotion where forgiveness was everything and Jesus was enough.
