Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.

Psalm 116:15

            Nothing is feared in life more than death. People want to stave it off as long as possible for themselves and their loved ones. Many live their lives in fear of death, so will take extreme precautions. Very few people would ever say death is precious. 

            Yet this Psalmist says the death of His saints is precious to the Lord. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take care of ourselves or take unnecessary risks in life, but it does show us how pleased the Lord is to spend eternity with us. While we still breathe, we should be letting others know about our amazing God who wants to save them, bless them, and spend forever with them.
