Revelation 4:1

After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

One of my favorite verses is this one. It speaks of the rapture of the church and our gathering together to Jesus in glory. While Revelation 2 and 3 contain our Lord’s words of counsel, encouragements, and warnings to the church, this verse bring us to that blessed day when the trumpet will sound. At that time, our Lord will descend from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel will invite us to join Him in the clouds!

Revelation 4 and 5 gives us glorious insight into the heavenly scene. Take a few minutes to read them today and get excited. For I believe the Lord is coming soon! Are you ready?
