Ruth 3:1

Then Naomi, her mother-in-law, said to her, “My daughter, shall I not seek security for you, that it may be well with you?”
Ruth 3:1

In the above verse, Naomi tells Ruth her plan. Naomi was watching over Ruth and wanted the best for her. Here, security literally means “resting place.”

It’s a beautiful picture of our Lord Jesus, who was willing to redeem us and provide us with a place of rest.

If you have been caught up and all worked up in the things of this world lately, God reminds us our security and our resting place is in Jesus.
