1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Jabez was distinguished among 600 names because he was “more honorable than his brothers.” Honor isn’t about perfection—it’s about intentional holiness. In a world that pressures conformity, Jabez chose to swim upstream. His character set the foundation for answered prayer.

We need to ask ourselves: What does personal holiness look like in my daily life? God doesn’t require perfection, but He does desire our wholehearted pursuit of Him. Your integrity in small moments—how you speak, what you watch, how you treat others—creates the soil where God’s blessings can grow.
