1 John 4:20-21

1 John 4:20-21

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

1 John 4:20-21

Jesus commanded that we, “Love our neighbors as ourselves.” One of the clearest indicators of our relationship with God is our love for others. This love isn’t just for those easy to love, but extends even to those who are difficult or have hurt us. Are there relationships in your life where love feels challenging? How can you demonstrate Christ-like love in these situations? Keep in mind, this kind of selfless love is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask God to fill you with His love today, enabling you to love others as He has loved you.
