Matthew 5:9

“Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.”

When you are in an argument and realize things are getting out of control, is it your instinct to press on no matter what? Or do you realize this isn’t worth it and it needs to stop before someone gets hurt.  A peacemaker is someone who works hard to keep offenses like this from festering into fractured relationships.  

If we claim to be children of God, we should be willing to engage in the ministry of reconciliation and restoration.  Be willing to walk into the middle of troubled waters to help bring calm. Jesus didn’t simply calm the storm to show His power but to give an example for us to follow.
