Nehemiah 8:10

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord.  Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The secret of Christian joy is to believe what God says in His word and then act on it!

In this verse, we read of Nehemiah’s words to the people after Ezra had just read the law of Moses. And what is the message here in verse 10? ”The joy of the Lord is my strength” The joy of knowing God and how much He loves me and how He is taking care of me, that will give me the strength to get through those tough times in my life.

As we continue to go through uncertain times in this world, and in life, remember that the joy of the Lord is our strength.  And it comes from believing what God says in His word and acting on it.
