Revelation 11:15

Revelation 11:15

The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.

Revelation 11:15

While finishing up a graduate course in the book of Revelation, I found it comforting to know that all the “big college words” in the world will never be able to make it more clear how the story of God’s creation ends. Simply put, “In the end, God wins!”  We know how the story ends, but sometimes we don’t act like it. All of mankind has fallen short of the glory of God and until He returns, we will unfortunately fall short when it comes to our faith, our actions, and how we think things will turn out. This is not living with the mindset that in the end He wins.

A coworker recently asked me, if I had the choice between a trillion dollars or ten minutes with Jesus which would I choose. I replied, “Ten minutes with Jesus.” “Why, He asked.” I explained to him that if I saw the assurance of the Living God in front of me, it would make the rest of my life seem insignificant to the glory that awaits. It was in that moment that I realized I had been complaining about trivial things all day at work. I do believe that God will return, and I do believe that in the end, He will win, but I hadn’t been acting like it. The next time life shows up with a big cup of disappointment, remember your sorrow will not last forever. In the end, God wins!

God Bless,

Paul Provencio
