Esther 4:14

Esther 4:14

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Esther 4:14

These were the words of Mordecai to his niece Esther, who had been taken from her home and family, thrown into the king’s harem and chosen to be his queen. In the meantime, the wicked Haman was plotting to exterminate the exiled Jews and Mordecai determined that Esther was in the right place at the right time and should stand in the gap for God’s people.

Do you find yourself in circumstances and places that you would not have gone on your own? Have you been wondering why God has allowed certain things to happen in your life that you wouldn’t have chosen for yourself? Are you doing your best to try and wiggle out from under those circumstances? Pay attention. There may be a greater reason why all this is happening. God may be asking you to be part of His solution “for such a time as this.”

Staying put where God has me,
