Ezekiel 36:26-27

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Today’s passage offers hope in the face of our innate sinfulness. God promises to give us new hearts and make us new creations in Christ. What are some of the transformations God has already worked in your life since coming to faith? Where do you still need His renewing touch? We can certainly be thankful for His ongoing work in us.

Consider offering a prayer of surrender today, inviting God to continue reshaping your heart and mind. And do your best to persevere through this lifelong process – be patient with yourself and others as God works in and through you.
