Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town…

Mark 8:22-23

The blind man could not come to Jesus on his own—he needed friends who believed Jesus could heal. Their love compelled them to bring their friend into the presence of the Savior. Is there someone God has placed on your heart? Perhaps the Lord is calling you to intercede persistently for someone spiritually blind, someone who cannot find their way to Jesus alone. 

Prayer is how we bring people into the presence of Christ. Don’t underestimate the power of faithful intercession. Like these friends who “begged” Jesus to touch their companion, bring your burden before the Lord continually. God honors the prayers of those who believe He can heal, restore, and save. Who has God burdened your heart to bring to Jesus in prayer?
