Isaiah 6:8

Isaiah 6:8

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Isaiah 6:8

At some point in our lives, when the Lord calls to us, we’re expected to answer. Unfortunately, not everyone does so, but God gives everyone that opportunity. In 2 Peter 3:9, it says, The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

This was the opportunity given to Isaiah in chapter 6. He heard the Lord’s voice and said in Isaiah 6:5, “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”

Once he repented, Isaiah had a heart to serve. When the Lord needed someone to minister to the people of Judah, Isaiah’s hand went up, saying, “Send me, send me!” The Lord is going to give you opportunities to serve in your life. Are you going to ignore His call or volunteer for the ministry for which He prepared you?

Send me!
