“Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”
This is pretty straightforward, it’s all about God’s will. As Christians, we long for the day we will be in heaven with Jesus and the saints. We so want God’s kingdom to come. But Jesus is directing us to pray that God’s Kingdom and His will would be manifest now, here on earth, in and through us.
We must want His plan and purpose, not our own agenda, to be achieved here on earth like it already is in heaven. His will and kingdom purposes are always superior to our own foolish notions of what’s good for us.
Not my will but Yours…,
